1 out of 5 starsGem arrived however seller will not respond to repeated attempts to communicate. I do not like leaving bad reviews but my biggest pet peeve is bad communication! Have been trying to reach seller for several weeks with no response. Am hoping this poor review will spur them into communication. Would like to return gem stone, not because of poor quality but because it is no longer needed for my setting. I need a return address, PLEASE! I hope I have better luck recouping my money than other customers. Buyers beware. Please resolve this bestgems and I will change my review to one more favorable.

1 out of 5 starsPart 1: The seller sent a poorer (worse colour, less translucent) chrysoprase with slightly smaller dimensions than listed (fortunately I have a precision scale and caliper). Order was 9th Jan. They took 7 days to post the gem (probably cutting a new stone, in retrospect). I also ordered a pair of 'rainbow' moonstones, and the 'rainbowness' was poor and nowhere near as pictured. I convo'd through Etsy within 1 hour of receipt, twice, and received no reply in 14 days. I finally opened a Paypal case, where the seller immediately admitted liability 'I listed those stones 4 years ago and should have checked them before sending, sorry'. Yet there is a listing for the same chrysoprase still up! I replied asking for the return address. I heard nothing for 4 days after daily requests. Part 2 contd in next review...

The stones are exactly as described and I am sorry you did not like them. I offer a full money back guarantee on everything that I sell. If you did not like them you could have simply returned them without creating any more work for either of us. You did not have to file a claim with paypal stating that they were significantly different. All monitors are different and will present colors differently. I am very sorry that I took so long to finalize everything but the stones were returned when I was out of the state attending a gem show.

1 out of 5 stars…Part 2. Then finally they replied with address. I sent back the stones at a cost to myself of $50 (insured Express Courier) which was signed for on 18th Feb. I emailed them daily asking for refund, heard nothing for 5 days in a row, by which point it was the Paypal Escalate Case limit date, so I Escalated and finally Paypal refunded me. I can only conclude: deceptive (sent a substandard gem different than picture) and probably hoped I wouldn't notice; selfish (no reply for 2 weeks through Etsy till Paypal case opened); avaricious (dragged out reply to address request, prob hoping Paypal case would time out) and latter confirmed by fact that repeated requests for a refund, once gems were signed for, were ignored and I had to Escalate within hours of case timing out. Has taken over a month to resolve with daily action on my part

Again I am very sorry this ended this way. As I said before you could have just returned them to me. There was nothing wrong with the gemstones and it happens very often with green and purple gemstones that the color on your screen does not match the item you received. Greens and purples are hard to capture accurately and the images were taken over four years ago at which time my photography skills were very poor.. I have to admit that my timely response could have been a lot better and there is no excuse for that. Unfortunately I was out of town attending the Tucson gem show from the end of January through the end of February. This etsy store is one of three that I run with all my focus being on my main store. Mastergoldcraft .I need to spend more time in this store to avoid this happening again.

1 out of 5 starsAwful - never arrived, the seller was utterly unresponsive. I haven't managed to reclaim my money from the seller (i.e. I've lost it all). Stay away - I've never had such a bad experience and seen such apathy towards customers.

The beads were shipped via USPS Tracking number 9400109699939214588707 The were delivered to the customer's address, but SHE claims that she did not receive them. USPS confirms delivery. She disputed this with Paypal they ruled in our favor. She filed a claim with her credit card and they ruled in our favor. Since the package was delivered there is nothing we can do about it. I am sorry we did not respond to her but there is nothing more to be said. I am sorry if you lost the item and wish I could offer you compensation but the beads were sold below out cost.
